Destination: Greyville (2)

After I have surrounded the inner quarter of the "Greyville" village, there are still buildings left, I want to give an overview.
Oh, you do not know where to find "Greyville" in the Hyperverse ? That is quite easy:
Open the world map in your viewer, there you find an input field next beside search button. Just type in

world.narasnook.com:8900:

Now click on search and the map should change, showing the given location. On the bottom the teleport button should get active. Just click on it and the journey should begin. By default you should arrive in "Greyville"
Sometimes it happens that the hop is not really willing to let you hop on the default, especially on  Mondays and holidays (Bank holidays are the worst). In this case try this one:

world.narasnook.com:8900:Greyville

That might work then for any reason. And if it does not, go into the kitchen have a coffee or a meal or mow the lawn, walk the dog, see how tall (or big) the children have become, while you surfed the virtual worlds and try it on a later time.

But let me continue what I haven't finished on my last tour on Nara's Nook. On the ring road around the inner quarter of the village there are a few buildings on the outer side and I start with the one opposite to the empty small building. This will get the FBI building as it says on a small label next to the entrance. A colorful friendly grey boring shoe box building waiting on its purpose.

In a little distance one find a little piano-drums-guitar bar for your entertainment

Around the corner a little walk down the road a very glassy building appears. Here the author Siobhan Muir exhibits a few of her publishings. And this time you can click the book and get a little teaser and a link to an online bookstore that sells it.

Don't bother about Zach Snow, he is just narcissistic and does not talk at all.
The next building in line is another private estate and even so there is a British police telephone booth in front of this house but it is not the residence of Dr. Who

The last building within the Village complex is a former greenhouse now rebuild to a nice meeting house, where, I assume, you can listen to some readings given by one of the numerous authors here at "Nara's Nook".

With that last building I turned my back to the village and started to head towards the "Authors Discovery Park".
The park is covering about half of the region, if not more, on the Eastern side. All over, there are pavilions of different sizes. My first visit is a bigger one at the southern end. A bear keeps guard over a rabbit hole teleporter and pictures are set up around the pavilion. Trying the teleporter it gives some action but did not teleport me. :-(

The next pavilion is also a bigger one, if not the biggest. Its more a relaxing place with a figurine in the middle. At one of the opens you'll find a giant book called "Passion's Portal Multi Authors Series". I must have a bad day cause even so the cursor changes to a hand, nothing happens with the book. No Notecard and nothing to look at, then the two pictures of the opened book. I found two other of those book placed around the pavillion with the same result.
Hmmmmm

From here I walked to the other gazebos which are all alike by its architecture. In each of them you'll find an introduction of an author being a resident of "Nara's Nook". As there are:

Sara Lanel

Siobhan Muir

Shannan Albright

Tina Glasneck (unfortunately this book was closed and I could not open it)

Courtney Sheets

Stephanie Mesler

I haven't tried, but it says that all the Gazebos have Blamgates to visit the individual worlds of the writers within the grid.
There is much more information on boards spread throughout the park and in the Northeastern corner you will find a collection of teleporters to other worlds within the hyperverse.

That's it for the "Greyville" region. But not for Nara's Nook and the "Colony of the writing guild". The Ladies there are full of ideas how to use the possibilites virtual worlds give in storytelling.
Everybody is always welcome for a nice talk or in exchanging ideas. Just jump over and visit a grid of innovations.
I will continue reporting about this grid, cause there is lots more to show and to tell about the activities of the residents. As for example they will participate with a big showcase region on this year's OSCC. So stay tuned :-)

Destination: Greyville (1)

The first time, it was March/April 2014, I visited "Nara's Nook" it was just two regions "Greyville" and another one, the name I forgot. Was kind of a party area with small shacks on pillars build in the middle of the sea.
Coming now to the "Grid of the Authors", "Greyville" still exists but the rest changed enormously and the number of regions increased. To review all of the Grid in one article is way too much, so I will break it in bits and pieces, starting with "Greyville".

Arriving at "Greyville", the landing point is right on the middle of the region at the corner of the small village and the "Authors Discovery Garden".

On my arrival I could see 4 green dots on my little radar. One of them is sitting on a dead tree stump close to the landing point and is Lizzy the chatting lizzard.

Just a small piece of the conversation I had with Lizzy

zaphod Enoch: hi lizzy
Lizzy: So how have you been lately, zaphod.Enoch?
zaphod Enoch: doing fine thanks
Lizzy: Of course.
zaphod Enoch: how have you been ?
Lizzy: Just so-so. I'm hoping you can cheer me up. :)
zaphod Enoch: I don't know what would cheer you up
Lizzy: Who really does?
zaphod Enoch: A clown maybe ?
Lizzy: Perhaps a Mr. Bicycle Pump likes Ms. Common. *wink wink*
zaphod Enoch: I don't have any idea what you are talking about.
Lizzy: You do. You're fooling yourself. I really like your style. Maybe we can spend some time together.

We talked a little bit more but when she invited me to see her living place in the tree stump, I left to the village to find out what to see there. The first building I came to, was the "Internet cafe"  with a board aside saying -Write-Ins Daily & Daily Chats Sunday - Friday-

The inside is a cozy cafe with a small bar and a few tables with notebooks on them. A long blonde haired body styled sapling NPC is hammering the standup piano. You may ask him whatever you like but he is not as chatty as Lizzy. To be honest he does not say a word.

The next house is a small shop where one can acquire male and female avatars all inclusive (bodyparts and outfit).

Adjacent to that one will find Endora Twinklens home gallery. If you have missed her exhibition at "Beeblebrox" here you have the chance to see some of her works right here.

The next building on the corner is a small exhibition hall with book covers and posters of the books the residental writers at Nara's Nook have published. Even so it says "Bookshop" above the entrance, I could not manage to purchase a book.

The next house around the corner "Nook World Travel and Land Store" seems to be still under construction and in the adjacent shop you find "Crates and Barrels" filled with Author and promo tools or Male Skins or Hair or......well come over and see yourself.

The next red house on the corner of the inner quarter of the small village is another book exhibition  for the "Passionate Reads". You might not find a book to read there but poster and book covers of the residental authors 'that seduce the readers one book at a time.....'

The white smaller building around the corner is the fitness studio "Glow Yoga" where you can work your body by using gym balls or running on a treadmill. Push up mats with different exercises are available, too.

"BlogSite Creations" is a service building offering 'the frugal Author's Guide to Creating Stunning Websites for free'

The next house in the inner quarter does have a more private character with its interior and the adjacent one is completely empty.

With this last building I have made a complete circle around the inner quarter of the "Greyville" Village and having a look on the length of this review, I will stop here. But I am not finished yet. There are more buildings on the outer side of the ring road and the "Authors Discovery Garden" waiting on a visit. That will give enough material to write for the second part of the Greyville review. But meanwhile do not hesitate and visit the "Grid of the Writers".
You are always welcome.

Destination: Valtheim

"Valtheim" is located East of "Hatmandor" on the Grid Ignis Fatuus. In main it is a small island offshore the region of "Alsorna" and connected to that via a smaller bridge. Beside that you will find a lighthouse on a single rock in the middle of the sea.

The island carries some trees and fantasy plants. My arrival point at "Valtheim" was close to a meeting pavilion which might have been build by elves.

As the whole island has an elfish touch.

But the most significant aspect on this island is "Dragons Head Rock". It looks like a natural rock formation with artificially created horns and eyes added to it.

The lighthouse on the rock is a well build and textured tower, the Ignis Fatuus Team is known for.

On the Eastern side a small rocky promontory reaches in the sea. From there you have a good view over to the building on the "Dar Pha" region

But before I will visit that fantastic building, I will turn to "Alsorna" . From the promontory I went back to the inner of the island and further to the bridge.

The first I saw there is an eldorado for mushroom pickers.

Most of the mushrooms are located at "Alsorna", my next destination and review.
